Company History
Ideal (VS) Ltd. began operations in 1984 as agents for independent manufacturers. Our technical expertise (even on what were considered to be “commodity” products), and strong commitment to after sales service, allowed rapid increases in year on year turnover, and warranted development of the IDEAL private label program, culminating in the incorporation of Ideal (VS) Ltd. in 1991. The first IDEAL products were pressure sensitive tapes (primarily aluminum foil tape). It was obviously a challenge initially to convince customers to try an “unknown” IDEAL product. However, our network of dedicated manufacturer’s representatives, backed up with strong factory training programs and incentives, have been successful in promoting the IDEAL brand, so that it is now the engineer’s preferred brand in many of the domestic and international markets we operate in. Over the years Ideal (VS) Ltd. has undertaken several strategic partnerships with and acquisitions of leading manufacturers, which has allowed us to be arguably the largest single source of insulation and ancillary product groups in the US and possibly the globe. Together these divisions represent over 110 years of research and development and proven experience in HVAC performance technology. Today Ideal (VS) Ltd. services customers worldwide from our corporate facility in Milltown, New Jersey, and operations facility in Houston, Texas.
